Beauty That Gives Back

by Katherine Bellando |

We’re just about halfway through October, one of our favorite months of the year.  Not only do we get to indulge in all things fall — apple picking, pumpkin spice, cozy knit sweaters  (why is it that no matter how cliche it gets, they never get old?!) — but we get the chance to honor and acknowledge Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Over the years, companies around the globe have turned October into a time of year thats dedicated to those battling, surviving or remembering loved ones who have been touched by Breast Cancer.  They have found a way to give back, celebrate and show support for a community that inevitably impacts everyone.

As with all brands sold at Copal, each product is tested and approved by Jennie, securing the cleanest ingredients, prime benefits and valued results. Two of our favorite natural brands that fit the bill are Agent Nateur and Kaia Naturals. Not only are they a clean beauty brand, but this month, we are emphasizing the importance of making the switch to natural deodorants, and these two brands have products that will not only make you feel your best, but also help safely eliminate toxins from our body.

We love Kaia Naturals’ Takesumi Deodorant Detox for numerous reasons. Ta-keh-su-mee, known as bamboo charcoal, is a time-honored Japanese secret for odor control and detoxification. This 99% natural deodorant stick contains no aluminum, no parabens, no propylene glycol, no baking soda and no harsh chemicals.

We also love Agent Nateaur for their clean ingredient label, especially in their Holi(stick) N3 Deodorant. With organic coconut oil, sodium bicarbonate, beeswax, sunflower butter, avocado butter, castor oil, raw organic honey, lavender essential oil, hydrogen peroxide, eucalyptus oil, this deodorant will keep you smelling lovely well into the evening hours.

Beauty That Gives Back

At Copal, we are excited to be amongst those businesses also giving back to a cause near and dear to us — Infinite Strength.  Founded by Breast Cancer Survivor Roberta Lombardi, Infinite Strength’s mission is to help provide patients and families with a better cancer treatment experience, as well as physical and emotional support.  Having personally experienced the physical, mental and financial toll cancer can take on both patients and families, Lombardi’s mission is to “help those that not only struggle with the disease but also struggle financially.”  Their “mission is to make medical treatments more accessible for all breast cancer patients and to offset costs that are not always covered by insurance, but can make all the difference in the healing process, both physically and emotionally.”

We are honored to be working with Infinite Strength, and on Wednesday, October 23, invite you to join us from 6-8pm at Copal in Madison, CT, to meet Roberta, learn more about Infinite Strength, and get your brows groomed by Jennie at our Bold Brow Bar.  100% of proceeds from our Bold Brow Bar on October 23 will be donated to Infinite Strength, and donates are accepted even if you are not receiving a brow service.
